About this app
Loop Island is a learning game that trains children aged 8 to 11 in computational thinking: breaking a problem down, sequencing, looping and conditionals.
A child builds their program by dragging and dropping blocks, then runs it and watches the character move across the map step by step, connecting directly what they wrote to what happened.
There's no punishing 'game over'; the level simply restarts, because the point is to try and correct rather than to climb a leaderboard.
The app includes a colour-blind-friendly palette and collects no personal data from children.
