Cookie Policy

Last updated: 2026-08-27

Cookies are small text files your browser stores when you visit a site. They're used to remember your preferences and to measure how the site is used. This page explains which types we use and how to control them.

Types used on this site

1. Essential cookies

Required for the site to work and to remember your choice in the consent bar. They can't be disabled because the site doesn't function without them, and they aren't used for ad tracking.

2. Preference cookies

Store choices such as whether you accepted or declined non-essential cookies. Kept locally in your browser.

3. Analytics cookies

Help us see how many people visit and which pages are read most, in aggregate.

4. Advertising cookies

When Google AdSense is enabled, Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads relevant to your interests, measure their performance and avoid repeating the same ad. We have no access to the contents of those cookies.

How to control them

  • On this site: the consent bar appears on your first visit and you can choose "Essential only". To change your choice later, clear this site's data in your browser and the bar returns.
  • In your browser: every browser lets you delete or block cookies in its settings. Blocking them entirely may break features on websites generally.
  • Google ads: turn off personalisation in Google Ads Settings.
  • Other ad networks: via aboutads.info or Your Online Choices.

Cookies in the apps

Android apps don't use cookies in the browser sense, but they may use an advertising identifier provided by the operating system. You can reset that identifier or turn off ad personalisation in your device settings.
